The Board


  Alan Griffin
  Chairman and CEO, JLT Reinsurance Brokers

Alan started his career in the Aviation Division of Alexander Howden & Swann in 1969, becoming joint Chairman of the Division in 1982. In the mid-80's, Alan spent four years with the additional responsibility of Administration Director for all Division's of Alexander Howden Reinsurance Brokers. Prior to the purchase by Aon in 1996, Alan was responsible for Alexander and Alexander Aviation on a global basis for retail, wholesale and reinsurance. Before joining JLT Re, Alan was Chief Operating Officer of Aon Re UK.
 


  Keith Fenwick
  Chief Operating Officer, JLT Reinsurance Brokers

Keith started his career at Sedgwick Forbes in 1976 working on the US Casualty side. He joined C.T. Bowring in 1983 and became Chief Operating Officer for FINPRO in 1988. He then transferred in 1993 to run a joint venture with Barclays Bank in Southampton, returning to FINPRO in 1998. Keith moved to Guy Carpenter in 2000 and became Chief Executive shortly afterwards. He left in 2005 and joined JLT Re as Chief Operating Officer.
 


  Alistair Lockhart-Smith
  Managing Director, JLT Reinsurance Brokers

Alistair graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1984. Following a period with Alexander Howden within the Marine and Energy Division, he created Bradstock Lockhart-Smith, a specialist energy reinsurance broker, in 1992. In 1996, the company was acquired by Bradstock, Blunt & Crawley, and Alistair was appointed Deputy Chairman. In 2000, he joined JLT Risk Solutions to head the Marine Reinsurance Division. He was subsequently appointed to the JLTRS Board, where he was responsible for the company's reinsurance business. Upon the formation of JLT Re, Alistair joined the Board of JLT Reinsurance Brokers, JLT Re's holding company, as Managing Director.
