Queensland Floods: Key Facts

A combination of meteorological factors has resulted in the worst flood in decades to affect the Queensland area, and the second significant event since 2008. It is still at too early a stage to assess the impact on the insurance industry, however, some insurance companies have begun to investigate the extent of the damage and the cost is estimated to reach billions of dollars.
